It another a year and time to get things started in the Custom Sports Bike world. I must say there were a lot of excellent bikes last year in my area alone. Builders are producing custom designs in every imaginable category. Graphic designs and the rage of fat tire are hitting the streets with a fury.
But that’s a part of custom building that you must face old and new talents demonstrating their skills. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Well we are here with a new swish on an old recipe. We raised the bar just a little, no we didn’t change the BRUSA. Just a few minor expressions to keep an edge on the competition.
The competition began this year with the WORLD OF WHEELS. For those of you that are not aquatinted with this event, It’s a major Auto Show presented annually at several locations around the country. The World of Wheels features some of the best custom Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles in the world.
BRUSA entered the New Orleans O’Reilly Auto Parts sponsored WORLD OF WHEELS held at the New Orleans Super Dome. This year’s competition was intents with over a hundred Motorcycles represented. This year’s event was considered by some as the largest collection of motorcycles ever.
!Sporting a new paint job from Du Pont “HOT HUES” paints, BRUSA The BUSA was in exceptional form. The brilliant's of this new paint concept is with out question “untouchable”. The masters of paint developed a way to transform an exciting mixture of colors in a universal
explosion. When I discovered this sensation I just had to have it.
2004 Suzuki Hayabusa Limited Edition
Hayabusa; for years the fastest production bike in the world. Now it’s one of the finest custom show bikes on the streets. The original bike very similar to the one in the photo above. My inspiration to build this show bike happen when I met Mike Hoolahan. I met him through a fellow biker. He did some work on his show bike and it was enough to impress me. I also found out that he was the owner of a five
time “Best of Show”
Honda.
This convinced me that he was the man that would do the best job on my custom show bike, Brusa.
To see more photo of Brusa, visit the photo page. There are pictures from the beginning with several shots of parts and construction phase. The second page show pictures of bike show competition events and current completed upgrades. Show bike Competition is very strong and includes several categories. However, the ultimate win is “Best of Show”.
